Who we are

Kallpa Tour Operator SRL ("Kallpa", "we") is a destination management company registered in Argentina. Our legal address is Santiago del Estero 555, 2F, Salta, Argentina. We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy, which covers two things: this website, kallpatour.com, and the personal data we handle when we design and operate journeys for travel companies and their travellers.

This website

Reading this site requires no account and asks nothing of you. We collect personal data in three situations.

The Partner with Kallpa form. When a travel company or a supplier writes to us, we ask for the company, your name, your email, your country and a few questions about your business and what you are looking for. We use it to answer you and, if we go on to work together, to set up that relationship. The form is for professionals; we do not sell to the public.

The data request form on this page. Your email and what you ask us to do with your data. We use it only to answer that request.

Site measurement. With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read, from which countries and through which channels. It is switched on only if you accept it in the cookie notice; see Cookies below. We also see how people find the site through Google Search Console, which gives us search terms in aggregate, not individuals.

The "Save as PDF" button uses your browser's own print function and sends nothing to us.

Form submissions reach us through Webflow, which hosts this site, and are kept in Google Workspace, where our email lives. We keep a submission for as long as the conversation it opened is alive and, in any case, no longer than two years after the last exchange, unless we have gone on to work together.

Travellers on our journeys

Most of the personal data we handle does not come through this site. When a travel company books a journey with us, it sends us what we need to operate it: the travellers' names and contact details; passport details, which hotels and border crossings require; flight details; and any dietary needs, health conditions or mobility needs the traveller chooses to share so that we can look after them. Payment runs between Kallpa and the travel company; we do not handle travellers' card details.

We use this data to operate the journey (hotels, transport, guides, activities), to assist the traveller during the trip, and to meet our legal obligations in tourism, immigration and invoicing. The basis for this is the contract with the travel company and the laws that apply to us; health details are handled only with the traveller's consent, given to the travel company or to us.

We share with each hotel, transport company, guide or provider only what they need to deliver their part of the journey. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

We keep travellers' data for the duration of the journey and afterwards for the period that commercial and tax law requires us to keep records, which in Argentina is ten years. Then we delete it.

Where the data goes

Kallpa works from Argentina, a country the European Commission recognises as providing adequate data protection. Our systems run on Google Workspace and Google Cloud, and this site on Webflow; these providers may process data on servers in the United States, under standard contractual clauses and their own certifications. The providers who deliver a journey are in the country where it takes place.

Security

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to its sensitivity: access limited to the people who need it for their work, accounts with two-step verification, encrypted connections, and staff who know how to handle personal information. If a breach ever affected your data, we would tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable form. If you gave consent for something, you can withdraw it; that does not affect what was done before. To ask, use the form below or write to our legal address. We answer within thirty days.

If you are in Argentina: the Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública, as the enforcement authority of Law No. 25,326, handles complaints and claims from anyone whose rights are affected by a breach of the personal data protection rules. You have the right to access your personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, under Article 14, paragraph 3 of Law No. 25,326. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Thank you. We will answer within thirty days.

Children

This site addresses travel professionals, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under eighteen through it. Data about children who travel with us reaches us through the travel company and is handled as described above.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses two kinds.

Cookies the site needs to work. Webflow, which hosts the site, sets a few that keep pages and forms working, and we store one value in your browser that remembers your cookie choice, so the notice does not come back for twelve months. These need no consent.

Measurement cookies. If you accept them, Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier, kept for up to two years) that tell us which pages are read and from where, without identifying you. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. If you choose "Only necessary", none of these are set and nothing is measured.

Some stories embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo, and the maps use tiles from OpenStreetMap; when a video plays or a map loads, those services receive your browser's request as any image would, and the video services may set their own cookies under their policies.

There are no advertising cookies and no social media trackers on this site.

You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, and you can delete cookies from your browser's settings.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when something changes in how we handle data. The date at the top says when it was last reviewed.
